The best way to see Aix-en-Provence

This long promenade dotted with fountains is lined with plane trees, cafés, shops and restaurants.
There is a market every day in Richelme’s Plaza, but the big Market Day is Saturday. Just stroll to the Place de l’Hotel de Ville or follow the Clock Tower. This is one of my favorite markets in Provence.

Be sure to check out this shop near the market square to find all kinds of gourmet foods: mustards, tapenades, confits and spreads. Yum.

Le Cezanne **** Chic and trendy, located just steps from the heart of the city, this is an excellent choice. They also have an amazing breakfast!
Close to shops and the main fountain, Renaissance is a luxury get-away while still in the city.
A former convent, the Hotel des Augustins is full of character and old-world charm. It is centrally located in the city as well.
