A bit of a shop-a-holic, I admit to always being on the lookout for a new boutique! While I have done a Shopping Guide to Nice, there are a few new shops that caught my eye recently. Bonne découverte!
Girofle et Cannelle
We first discovered this little treasure while wandering the labyrinth that is Vieux Nice several years ago. The shop is simply charming – warm and inviting. Sweet floral aromas from their tisanes lure you over. The mélange of delicate leaves, buds and fruits paint a tapestry to delight all of the senses. And that is just the entrance! Inside the boutique feels like an old-world apothecary, yet everything is fresh and waiting to be discovered. Spices, balsamic vinegars, flavored rums and cocktails … all of the things that make life delicious!

Over the years, we’ve come to know the family behind it all, and they couldn’t be more lovely. They always take the time to chat, explain their blends, and help you find exactly what you’re looking for—even if you didn’t know you were looking for it! Need a spice blend to pair perfectly with delicate white fish? They’ll give you options. Craving a balsamic so thick it pours like molasses? They’ve got you covered.
And now, there’s even more to love. L’apothécaire has opened a new boutique next door, this one dedicated to teas—elegant tins filled with every variety you can imagine, plus beautiful cups and accessories to match. Consider yourself warned: it’s nearly impossible to leave empty-handed.
Where the flavors live:
4 Rue Pairolière, Vieux Nice 06300
Le Goût de Nice
I am always on the hunt for the local specialties, and Nice makes it quite easy with one-stop-shopping at La Maison de l’Artisanal et du Goût de Nice with 75 artisans, 350 seasonal products and everything 100% local! There are two locations, and I stop in each one every time I pass by! There is always something new that I didn’t notice the last time.
It is here that you can find the Bellet wines, the only local domaine, as well as artisan jams, olives, confits and oils … the list is simply too long to mention! There are also great souvenirs to bring home. Our favorite French Riviera Girls is well represented there, with her whimsical designs on bags, postcards and more.

Products are added seasonally as well, so you will find advent calendars and Christmas décor in December and Carnaval souvenirs in February. It is always worth a detour!

Trésors Publiques
Savoir-faire traditionnels- Patrimoine domestique-Fabrication française

The house located at 18 rue de la Préfecture is inscribed in the history of Nice for its remarkable architectural details from the medieval period, so it is only fitting that it reflects the history of a nation. Step inside for a glimpse of French childhood, with everyday, iconic objects that wrote history. Nearly 1000 objects that defined the French culture still remain, telling the story of generations. This shop is pure magic.
For a dose of local charm:

L’Epingle à Linge
Turning a corner in Vieux Nice, I was instantly drawn in by a burst of color—bolts of vibrant fabric spilling out from the shop like a celebration. Inside, it’s a kaleidoscope of bold hues and delicate patterns. Cozy cushions, flowing floral robes, and richly textured textiles come together to create a warm, inviting patchwork of color and charm. To balance this softer side, there is also quite an array of ceramic bowls, vases and other décor. While some may be too fragile to pack in a suitcase the pajamas and robes are a lovely way to bask in Riviera memories back home.

Maison Madone
Strolling through the chic and trendy Place du Pin, I continued to flâner (wander to your heart’s content) until I stumbled upon a lovely little clothing boutique whose window display called my name. Maison Malone is filled with up-and-coming designer clothing, each piece a rare and beautiful treasure. When you want to find your own unique style, you must stop here!

Pepita – Antibes
Nearby Antibes is such a little bijou, with a small-town feel in and its pretty little beaches. En route to the train station after a book signing, I happened by a boutique with the prettiest little dresses on a rack outside the door. They just looked like summer on the Riviera, so I popped in. And of course walked out with a great new dress, after a lovely conversation with the owner. Check it out when you are in Antibes!

Style lives here:
